About 23XI Racing
NBA legend Michael Jordan and three-time Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin partnered to launch 23XI â pronounced twenty-three eleven â Racing in the fall of 2020 with rising NASCAR star Bubba Wallace as the single car teamâs driver. 23XI Racing made its NASCAR Cup Series official debut at the Daytona 500 on February 14, 2021 and won its first race on Oct. 4, 2021 at Talladega Superspeedway. For 2022, the team expanded to two cars, adding Kurt Busch as driver of the No. 45 Toyota Camry.
Bubba Wallace burst onto the national spotlight in 2020 as the social justice movement swept across America and Bubba took a stand in his sport. Bubba has been breaking barriers since he entered the sport of NASCAR, and he did again in 2021 when he became the first African American driver in over 50 years to win a NASCAR Cup Series race.
For 2022, former NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kurt Busch joins 23XI to drive the No. 45 car, bringing with him veteran leadership to help guide the team's expansion to multiple cars.

Dr Pepper launched a new tuition program in collaboration with the 23XI Racingâs SPEED Institute. The program provided tuition awards as well as internship opportunities to support the next generation joining the motorsports industry. Dr Pepper awarded $5,000 to 23 students in an effort to support studentsâ educational goals.
