The Recovery Community Organization is a national recovery movement organized at a local, and state-level to help change the stigma about recovery.
The RCO is hosting a Symposium September 21, 2019, 10 am, at Calvary Church of Orlando (1199 Clay Street, Winter Park). This event is to help support multiple pathways to recovery with one voice in our community. All are invited to attend this free event. The RCO Symposium will help to bring light to the immediate needs in our community to help build sustainable long term recovery through peer-led recovery services.
The RCO will have representatives from many sectors of our community regarding their role and how we, as a community, can work together and cultivate recovery allies. Jim Payne from Wesh2News will be the Keynote Speaker as well as Lui Delgado moderating the entire event. Dr. Todd Husty, Medical Director for Seminole County; Matt Morgan, Mayor of Longwood; Matt Hughson, Seminole County Sheriffâs Office; and Judge Jerri Collins, Seminole County Judge, will be panelists on a Community Awareness Panel.
